VWN Surrey Delta Presents the May 23, 2012 Networking Luncheon...

Join professional business women and guests for a morning of networking. Enjoy a wonderful lunch and make some new friends. Come prepared for networking with business cards or brochures and share what you are passionate about in your business!

demonstrating and selling their products and services

11:15 to 11:30 am ~ Registration and Networking
11:30 am to 1:30 pm ~ Program and Lunch

Cost:

$23 - members who reserve by May 17th
$26 - guests who reserve by May 17th
$30 - at the door

Reservation Deadline:
Thursday, One week prior at midnight. Cancellations are accepted up to this time. Members who do not cancel by the deadline posted will be charged
for the lunch. Please arrive early and have your table set up for
11:15. Any tables not ready by then will be given to businesses on the
waiting list.

We ask that anyone booking a Vendor Table honor their commitment - No-Shows will be charged.

Members: Please specify if table is requested.

*Please Note: Once you have registered via on-line system or email you will receive a confirmation email back within 48 hours. Make sure that this confirmation comes back to you in 48 hours, otherwise your reservation did not go through and all non-confirmed reservations are subject to ‘Drop In’ rate of $30.00.

Luncheons:

Where: Vancouver Golf Club, 771 Austin Avenue, Coquitlam
When: Third Friday of the month, September through to June (some exceptions do apply so check listing)
Sign In Time: 11:15 to 11:45
Networking & Lunch Time: 11:45 to 1:30
Dress Code: No Denim, No Cell phones
Cost: $25.00 members, $30.00 non-members, who may attend two luncheons before being asked to become a member (Includes HST)
Reservation Deadline: 5:00 PM Tuesday prior to Friday luncheon. Register online or contact Joan 604-216-7076 or via email.
No Shows: The Chapter must pay for any reserved meals, therefore, all no shows are invoiced for missed lunches.

We are required to tell the Golf Club the number of lunches to prepare; so we ask you to make your lunch reservation by 5:00 pm on Tuesday before the meeting.

Networking Opportunities: Networking exercises, Testimonials, Spotlights, and Display Tables are some of the networking opportunities provided at our meetings. As a member, you are also provided advertising opportunities at very reasonable rates. One of the most valuable benefits of membership is building strong alliances and friendships with other business women. As Darcy Rezac states in Work the Pond, "One networking event does not a networker make". Be sure to attend all our meetings!

Testimonials: Practice positive networking by letting our members know you received great value or service from a member of our group. Applaud a job well done!

Spotlights (Members Only): This gives you up to (no more than) 3 minutes to highlight your company or organization at a luncheon. The cost is a $10.00 door prize (Gift certificates cannot require a purchase for redemption) To reserve your spotlight, contact Linda Davey via email.

Networking Tables (Members Only):

Showcase your goods & services. This is your opportunity to show our members what you have to offer! Set up time begins at 11:00. Your table will be up for the duration of the meeting. The cost is a $10.00 door prize (Gift certificates cannot require a purchase for redemption.) To reserve your table contact Linda Davey via email.

Running Your Business

This meeting is a networking meeting and will feature ‘Round Table
Discussions’ on the different areas of running a business. Ladies we will be sharing valuable information on what does and has worked for you in your businesses and what has not. Join us for the last networking meeting of the 2011 – 2012 season and start the summer off by hitting the ground running.

As of July 1st, 2012, the membership fees for the Valley Women’s Network will be:

1. Individual Membership - $40

2. Corporate Membership - $75

For the month of June, when you renew your current membership or purchase a new membership you pay $35. Your name will also be entered into a draw to win back your membership fee.

The White Rock Chapter is offering an ‘advertising special’ in our newsletter. Pay for 9 and receive 10 months of advertising. Offer expires August 22, 2012.

Where: the Pacific Inn Hotel at 1160 King George Hwy

Cost: $18 for members, $21 for non-members, $25 for drop-ins and late reservations.

Hats Off To You!

We are ending the 2011 – 2012 Networking Season with a tip of the hat to you. Thank you for supporting us with another great networking year.

If you have a favourite hat, wear it. If not, we will supply you with a perfect fit. There will be plenty of networking during the evening, so bring your business cards and brochures.

The VWN membership fee will be $40 for the upcoming networking year starting July 1, 2012. The Evening Chapter is having a membership contest. If you renew your membership during May and June, the cost will still be $35 and your name goes into a draw for a FREE membership. You have the opportunity of winning your money back. This draw will take place on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at our first meeting of the new season.

The Evening Chapter is offering a special on advertising for the upcoming networking season. Prepay your ad for next year and receive 10 months for the price of 9. The ads will start in September’s issue of the Valley Women’s Voice. Deadline date for payment and submissions is September 1, 2012.
